The cabal talks about the Emperor's seeing of his Egg. (64 - 73)

Scene 4: Walking Through the Wonders

The Emperor sees his Egg, walks through the Kunstkammer, and speaks to Santiago in the gardens of his visions. (73 - 117)

Scene 5: More Egg Prep

There is more crafting of the counterfeit Egg and talk of presenting it this evening in front of the Transylvanians. There is also talk of a ritual and the Emperor's visions (117 - 130)

Scene 6: Late

The Emperor and Ernst are late for the evening presentation, and then the Emperor shows himself melancholy after the Papal nuncio's visit. (130 - 159)

Scene 7: Presentation

The next morning, the Egg shows before the Transylvanians for a public showing. (159 - 177)

Scene 8: A Mission

The Emperor discusses the plans with Ernst and Lóránt for travel and then goes to the Kunstkammer to see the Egg once more. (177 - 193)
